I’ve come to realise something…
The moments that stay with us aren’t usually the big, dramatic ones.
They’re the simple ones:
Sitting and chanting with others.
Stepping away from the usual noise.
Feeling present, even just for a little while.
Those moments don’t always feel extraordinary at the time…
But they leave something behind.
A sense of clarity.
A deeper connection.
A reminder of what actually matters.
And often, we don’t give ourselves enough space for that. email-185098229624342002-179028…
There is something powerful about deliberately stepping out of our usual rhythm and into something more intentional.
Not rushed.
Not distracted.
Just time to chant, reflect and be somewhere that allows our attention to settle.
There’s a certain kind of joy that comes when you’re surrounded by people who are all there for the same reason.
No pressure.
No expectations.
Just showing up, chanting together and allowing the experience to unfold. email-185098229624342002-179028…
Perhaps that’s something we could all create a little more room for.
Because life can become so focused on getting to the next thing that we don’t always recognise the moments we’ll eventually look back on and wish we’d appreciated more.
Sometimes it’s a conversation.
A meal together.
A walk.
Sitting quietly with someone we love.
Or voices coming together in kirtan.
Maybe the moments that truly last aren’t necessarily the ones we planned to remember.
They’re the ones in which we were actually present enough to notice we were living them.
So perhaps there’s a simple question worth carrying with us:
Am I making enough space in my life for the moments that truly matter?
